What are thoughts on this Letter to the Editor on Religion and Politics??? - church letter to institution
The basic idea that politics and religion should not exceed or overlap is wrong. It sounds good in theory, but in reality, I suspect that most people are not divided into secular and religious world view. For better or for worse, the marriage between politics and religion, not political correctness or even the laws that will affect the separation of church and state.
As a society should be mature enough to understand, to be noted that even if we all come to the table of brotherhood does not mean that all sit on the same page. All Christians, Muslims, Jews and did not come to the table of America on the same route, kinship, cultural, or points. Of course, not everyone shares the same views on social issues or politics. How can someone who understands his faith and as a person, their voices are part of a comprehensive picture of how we create together as human beings, our world view. The IRS should not attempt to antogonize churches participate in the democratic process. Yes, the Church is an institution, the community of faith, but the CHHanks to an institution that is a community of concerned citizens who are often the same shares or simulated values and worldviews.
What is for or against the personal vote is usually an extension of what they believe in a holy level.
Therefore I see nothing wrong with like-minded people belong to the same institution have the debate and the exercise of their right to vote or support a particular candidate.
